Let’s assess the condition of your ADRENAL GLANDS

But first, let’s figure out what stress is 😩 4 types of stress cause the “fight or flight” response:

➡️ Mental/emotional stress

Feelings such as grief, shame, fear, anxiety, excitement, and guilt can be called stressful. This stress is based on perception, not on the stress itself.

For example, public speaking may be stressful for someone with social phobia, but another person who enjoys public speaking may enjoy it. In addition, new, unpredictable, ego-threatening, or loss-of-control situations are also perceived as stressful.

➡️ sleep disorders

This is the fastest way to get adrenal fatigue. Insomnia, sleep apnea, and shift work cause sleep deprivation. Sleep is the reset button for the HPA axis (Pituitary-Hypothalamic-Adrenal Axis). When we sleep, the body produces growth hormone and repairs itself. Make sure to get at least eight hours of sleep each night, and if you snore, get checked for apnea.

➡️ Chronic inflammation

Chronic inflammation can be caused by joint pain, obesity, toxic load, gastrointestinal inflammation, irritable bowel syndrome, gastrointestinal pathogens, or food allergies. These conditions stimulate the production of cortisol due to its anti-inflammatory effects.

➡️ Metabolic/Glycemic regulation disorders

After eating a carbohydrate-rich meal, your blood sugar levels spike, causing a large release of insulin. Insulin pulls sugar out of your cells, so large amounts of insulin cause your blood sugar to drop quickly (hypoglycemia). The symptoms of hypoglycemia are unpleasant; they can include irritability, fainting, dizziness, and tremors. Hypoglycemia causes your body to release cortisol to maintain normal glucose levels in the brain; this counteracts insulin, causing insulin resistance (an effect that has been linked to the current epidemic of type 2 diabetes).

Here is a comprehensive questionnaire that can help you determine the level of chronic stress and, therefore, the load on your adrenal glands ⤵️

Now Following you will get 3 Set of Questionnaire and the Points against each one. You have to just make a note of Answering “yes” to any of these questions because this is what is going to help you tested for your adrenal glands.

  3. ➡️ Do you have problems with memory or concentration?

  5. ➡️ Do you suffer from allergies or asthma?

  7. ➡️ Do you suffer from frequent or chronic infections?
  8. ➡️ Do you have dry, thinned skin?
  9. ➡️ Do you get headaches?
  10. ➡️ Do you experience unexplained hair loss?
  11. ➡️ Do you skip meals?
  12. ➡️ Do you exercise more than once a week?
  13. ➡️ Do you have thyroid problems?
  14. ➡️ Do you need coffee in the morning or after lunch?

Now here is set of another Questionnaire for which you will get 3 POINTS FOR EVERY YES ANSWER

  1. ➡️ Do you suffer from severe emotional stress?

Another Set for which you will get 5 POINTS FOR EVERY YES ANSWER

➡️ Do you suffer from chronic pain? ➡️ Do you suffer from symptoms of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia)? For example, headaches, drowsiness, mood swings when skipping meals. ➡️ Do you suffer from insomnia? ➡️ Do you have PMS symptoms (breast tenderness, abdominal cramps, heavy periods, mood swings)? ➡️ Are you in menopause or perimenopause (occasional absence of periods, age 45-55, hot flashes, vaginal dryness)?

RESULTS:

  1. If you score more than 10 points, you most likely have some degree of adrenal dysfunction.
  2. If you score more than 20 points, you probably have adrenal dysfunction.
  3. If you score more than 30 points, you almost certainly have adrenal dysfunction.

People with adrenal fatigue often have low blood pressure or a sudden drop in blood pressure after standing up from a sitting or lying position (orthostatic hypotension). If your blood pressure is below 120/80, it may mean your adrenal glands are underactive or you are dehydrated.
